Are you open on public holidays and Sundays?
Le Bonheur operates seven days a week, including public holidays, EXCEPT on 25 Dec
Are there any crocs in your fishing dam?
There are no free-range crocs in our fishing dam – you can fish and row without fear!
What times are the shows / tours / exhibits?
We run 11 croc pond tours every day and our snake exhibit is a self-guided experience. Snake shows take place on weekends and public holidays.
Do you charge a fee for certain activities?
We do not charge an entry fee but we do charge for each of the activities on offer.

What is your bookings & voucher policy?
- Groups of 15 or more need to pre-book all of our activities
- Croc pond tour: No bookings needed
- Snake exhibit: No bookings needed
- Snake shows: Booking advisable
- Fishing: Booking advisable if you want to rent a rod from us. No bookings needed if you have your own gear
- Croc cage dives: Booking is not essential but we do appreciate prior notification
- Rowboat rental: Booking is advisable on weekends and public holidays
- Bookings are advisable for voucher holders
What time do your croc cage dives take place?
Dives are conducted between 10 am and 3 pm daily from 1 September to 30 April. The croc cage dive facility is closed from 1 May to 31 August.
Do I need to book for your croc cage dives?
There’s no need to book for the cage dives, but we do appreciate prior notification.
What do I need to bring along for the croc cage dives?
A swimsuit. And a sense of adventure.

Do you host functions?
Le Bonheur hosts any event that can happily co-exist with our day visitors, during our normal operating hours (9 am – 5 pm). Extended hours can sometimes be arranged.
Can you send me your wedding packages?
We have suspended the hosting of weddings and 21sts until a dedicated function facility has been built. Kindly send us your requirements and we will respond with a proposal.
Can I bring my own food / drinks / picnic onto the premises?
We have an onsite restaurant and do not allow patrons to bring their own food/drinks/picnics unless they rent our waterside braai area.

Is your menu Halaal?
Selected items on the menu are Halaal.
How much does a picnic basket cost and how can I order it?
- If you’re ordering by email (info@lebonheurcrocfarm.co.za), please do so before 4 pm on the day prior to arrival.
- We accept telephone (021 863 1142) orders on the day, but we require at least three hours’ warning.
When do you feed the crocs?
Entertainment feedings are conducted from 15 Dec – 8 February during selected tours.
Mass feedings are done weekly in summer on an irregular schedule.
Are you wheelchair-friendly?
Our tours and bathrooms are accessible for wheelchairs, and about 80% of our venue can be easily accessed by wheelchairs. We are happy to assist.
Are you pet-friendly?
Small dogs (on leads) may be allowed in certain areas of our lawns – strictly at our discretion and only by prior arrangement. No dogs are allowed on our tours or inside the visitors’ centre and restaurant.
Do I need a permit to fish in your dam?
No permit is needed to fish in our dam, but we do charge a small fee.
What fish are in your dam?
Large-mouth bass and tilapia are the two main species.
Can I bring a boat / rubber duck / floating device / float tube?
No motorised craft are allowed. All other floating devices must be cleared with management prior to your visit.
Can I start fishing before/after your operating hours?
Fishing before 9 am must be cleared by management, and may be allowed under strict terms. No fishing is allowed after business hours.
What reptiles do you have?
Nile crocodiles, from babies to BIG ones.
Selected local and exotic snakes.
Have you got a safety plan?
Our safety plan has been approved by authorities and is regularly updated. We strictly adhere to all safety measures.
